I’m thinking about incorporating a Green Drink into my diet and am curious if anyone out there currently does this and what results they’ve seen (and how long it took/how often do you drink your green drink).
By Green Drink, I’m referring to a blend of kale/spinach/apple/misc fruit….
ALSO – I’d love to know what some of your favorite blends are!

@oracle: I don’t drink them daily but every once in a while I’ll make one with spinach, a banana, small spoonful of peanut butter, and milk. Yum yum!

Trader Joes makes one in a big jug. I try to drink one everyday!

I drink one 3x a week after my workouts! Right now I’m using a bag of blueberries I froze from the farmer’s market in the summer, spinach/kale, vanilla protein powder and almond milk. Sometimes I use Greek yogurt instead of the almond milk with a bit of water for some liquid.
Green drinks are amaaaazing. I love the density that the spinach/kale provides!

I do a power green blend that is mainly spinach but also some kale and a few other greens, strawberries , half a banana and water. I also use a spoon of super food powder (maca, chia and some other stuff)

Are you thinking more of a smoothie texture or juice?
I’ll make a green smoothie with spinach, frozen strawberries, splash of juice/milk and a banana, maybe some flax seed and ice. Or instead of strawberry banana I would do apple/kiwi.
I also used to make a juice it wasn’t green though although I’d like to try some! Mine had carrots, apples, beets and lemon.

I just started juicing and now try for every other day. I make mine with carrots, apples, kale and a bit of ginger…looking forward to the other posts to get some good ideas!

It’s generally much better to eat your greens than drink them. Pureeing destroys the fiber content and usually causes excess calorie consumption.

Beachbody makes a shake called Shakeology that is essentially a green smoothie but with a lot more stuff in it. It’s already figured out for you – you just have to add water and any other ingredients you may want to add. They have the typical “greenberry” flavor, chocolate and tropical strawberry. Personally, I love to drink the chocolate flavor because I get all those nutrients without having to choke down actual whole vegetables, haha.
