    Sometimes I’m writing it, and I’m like, “hmm…is this one of those words where the spelling changes for different usages…” Glad to hear they’re both correct!

    i believe that grey is known to be the british spelling, therefore, canadian spelling and gray is the american spelling.

    both are acceptable.

    GRAY = American English

    GREY = British English

    So technicallly neither is right or wrong.

    Lol, as a Canadian, I would say I use them both probably equally.  Just depends on the circumstance and if it is a registered well known name / thing I am writing about etc … Earl Grey – Grey Cup – The Blue and The Gray.

    I am an American, yet I loathe to see it spelled with an “A”. I spell it Grey.

    I switch between both, for some reason, but usually I spell it “gray”.

    I’m Irish so spell it grey. Most american spellings don’t bother me (e.g. center) but ‘gray’ is the one thing I wince at every time I see it.
