I’m pretty much leaving it up to my fiance to decide what he’ll wear.
But, I was just wondering … do you distinguish the groom from the groomsmen?? In our case, my Fiance is wearing a suit. He only has a Best Man, no groomsmen. Should they be wearing different colored ties? Or different boutineers?

My Fiance will have one best man plus three groomsmen. The Fiance will get a boutonniere that matches the color of my bouquet, and the groomsmen are getting boutonnieres that match the color of my BM’s bouquets. Also, we are doing tuxes. While all the ties will match, my Fiance will have a white vest with his and the other guys are having a colored vest.

@H216scrf: Oh I see. Yeah, I was thinking maybe my Fiance could wear like an ivory/ champagne tie, while his Best Man could wear a tie the color of my MOH’s dress. And then give my Fiance a larger boutinniere, or also a different color. We’ll see.

I’ve been to two weddings that my boyfriend has been a groomsman in:
Wedding 1: Everyone, including the groom, wore the same thing.
Wedding 2: The groom wore a nicely tailored suit instead of a tux because he hates pleated pants with a tie, and the groomsmen wore a tux.

The guys suits will be a lighter gray and my FI’s will be a darker charcoal gray. Plus his bout will be white and the groomsmen’s will be purple.

Fiance and I are thinking of having him and his groomsmen in mix/match outfits. The idea is to look like a rock band since we’re having a concert/music inspired wedding.

Darling Husband wore Ivory jacket with black pants. Humphrey Bogart style and the groomsmen wore all black.
