Men’s Warehouse has buy one get one free suits. You could get really NICE suits and spruce them up with vests and the like

That being said I think a formal wedding looks best with tuxes. YOu could do charcoal gray if your Fiance wants black. It’s not like you have to get tails and stuff nowadays =]

There’s no rule that says the groom and groomsmen have to wear the same thing. If your groom wants to wear a tux and the groomsmen something else, go for it. My FH is planning to wear a navy suit and his groomsmen will wear navy blazers and khakis. The same color tie and navy jackets will provide some coordination.

 
You will stand out b/c no one else will be wearing a formal gown like yours. You groom should stand apart from the crowd, too.
 
How about tux on your groom and something less formal for the guys? I like the charcoal idea. Is that too dark for August?
