hey all!! Just wondering if anyone has heard of this and could post any pictures! My wedding will be in the late afternoon on the water in Maine. We are set on the groomsmen wearOMG dark navy suits, but my fiance is wondering about wearing a black tux to set himself apart. Has anyone seen this before?? How do you think it would look? Thanks!!

All the guys should be in equal formality attire. So if your Fiance wants to wear a tux then all his guys should be in tuxes. If you want the Groomsmen in suits then your Fiance should be in a suit. Your Fiance could set himself apart by wearing a different colored tie and/or he could have a bout while the other guys just have a pocket square.

Here are a few photos I have found of it. They usually wear a different color vest, shirt or many do a different suit. Hope this helps (the colors are mix just in case)

As PP said, I would change the color but not material/style completely. Suit vs tux

I think he would look best if he dresss to the same degree of formality.

the black and navy might show up funny in pictures, and you probably should keep them in the same style.
our groomsmen are wearing gray suits with blush vests and ties, and Fiance is wearing the same suit with a gray vest and tie to set him apart.

I wouldn’t do black/navy. Grey would look nice. Or even white. Black and navy are too close in shade so it would look weird.
