Scavenger hunt or treasure hunt, whatever you want to call it. Le sigh. Always wanted that.

I always wanted a proposal on top the Ferris wheel.

@abj:  One friend I know got proposed to this way. I believe it went something like this. She had a friend with her and they got picked up in a car of some sort. She was taken to the first clue. At the clue one of her friends was waiting with a surprise and a second clue. It went on like that for some more clues (clues that lead you to the next destination) and on the way she amassed a little crowd of friends and small surprises. When she got to the end, her fiance was waiting and he proposed. I think this took place in Manhattan. All the clues could have something to do with each other, or like the little surprises could all be inside jokes or things like that.

I read a book just this past weekend – it was thriller, not a romance – but in the book the wife would do a treasure hunt every anniversary for her husband. She set up clues at places that were special to them and he would have to guess where to go next, eventually leading to the gift.

For the record, I just looked at the girl’s pictures on Facebook. It went down how I said. First clue with one friend, led to a second clue and a second friend/surprise, led to a third clue and a third friend/surprise until she found her fiance.

@star_dust:  I did this when I proposed to my ex fiance, about 10 years ago. It was at the local animal park and he loooved it. Had little clues leading to certain places in the park and some of them were inside jokes and the friends did know the answer in case he got stumped. 🙂 (I made a cheat-sheet for them.)
