I don’t know what I’m getting him as a wedding gift, but one year for his birthday I got him a heavy duty bottle opener keychain. He LOVES it and all his friends were jealous. I’ve also gotten him a huge mug (from Things Remembered) that he loves and uses all the time, not just for beer. He calls it his “man mug.”

@PennyLainne:  I got him some handmade map cufflinks on Etsy-one was of our wedding location and the other was our honeymoon location. He loved them and still wears them a lot to work. I also got him some 18yr scotch and small glasses so he could toast with his groomsmen before the wedding.

Darling Husband and I didn’t trade gifts because we couldn’t afford them.  We just traded letters.

That being said, if I *had* been able to get him a gift, it would have been a pocket watch with our wedding date and something like “Now we have all the time in the world to be together” engraved inside it.  I’ll probably give that to him for our first anniversary.

This might not be a true grooms gift, but he is getting a surprise grooms cake, and he is also getting boudoir photos. 🙂

I got him an Hermes bow tie (he loves Hermes) and I’m designing a surprise cake for him. Not sure what else to get him – I have to think about it.

For his next birthday, I was going to get him a battery pack for his iPhone that comes with all sorts of hiking-related apps that he could use. At least, that was the plan until he saw one and I mentioned it was cool before he shot it down. Yeah, so no luck there. But, if we were getting hitched sooner, I probably would have saved it for then. Guess it’s a good thing we aren’t.

I did the boudoir shoot, and gave him a “little black book” of some of my favorite shots. It was sort of a win-win, since I did the shoot more for my own sake but got the benefit of a nice surprise gift for him too. He loves having the pictures, and I love having the keepsake proof of how I look!
