It really doesn’t matter. It might be nice to have something for your groom to stand out, whether it be different coloured tie, vest or a slightly fancier boutonniere. I think it’ll be pretty obvious that he’s the groom regardless! <p style=”margin: 0in 0in 10pt” class=”MsoNormal”>

In my opinion, I would do something to have the groom stand out. Whether it is a different boutonniere or vest or different suit or tux or vest. It doesn’t have to be a whole different suit. It is his day too and I wouldn’t like it if my bridesmaids all wore white dresses when I am wearing white. That is an extreme example though. Love the colors by the way!!

We’re putting our groomsmen in white dress shirts with champagne ties and my Fiance will wear a black dress shirt with white tie. He gets to stand out a smidge =]

It doesn’t really matter, but this is the way I like to think about it…

The groomsmen are walking down the aisle with the bridesmaids – they should match, and the groom is your man – he should match you.

Have him wear a white vest and white tie, or the same vest with a white tie, or white vest and same tie.

Or – you can just have him match you – but make sure his flowers match yours.

My groom is matching the groomsmen, but I have white flowers and my groom will have a white flower. (Everyone else will have colors).

Good luck!

We had the dads and GMs in black tux, ivory shirt, ivory tie, black vest.

The groom wore all the same except his vest was ivory as well.

I think it’s nice when the groom stands out a little, but it can also be done by giving him a bigger/different boutonierre or something like that.
