My fiancé is dying to wear a navy Haspel tuxedo that is admittedly gorgeous (I think he just wants an excuse to buy it lol) but obviously I can’t ask his friends to each buy a 650 dollar somewhat novelty tux, even if it is supporting a local brand. Do y’all think it’d look strange to have his groomsmen in traditional black with him in navy? I’m wearing blush and my bridesmaids are wearing white so things are already a little out there lol. Do any of you have pictures of a similar navy/black combo?

I don’t think it would be weird if they are in different ones! (it sure is a nice tux lol) the only thing I would consider is the navy clashing with the black. Have you guys put any thought into having the groomsmen in in grey or beige tux’s? All in all, wouldn’t be weird! 🙂 I think the idea, my fiance wants to be in a white tux!

my dad got married in a white tux (with tails) and everyone else wore brown (with ruffles). do what makes you and your FH happy!

Nope I dont think it would be weird at all.
My husband actually wanted a gray tux and his guys wore navy lol.

I think its pretty common these days for the groom to be wearing a different suit from the groomsmen! I’ve seen a lot with varying shades of grey especially, and a darkish grey instead of black could be a nice contrast from the navy maybe? Personally, I think it usually looks really nice when done well, the groom should get to stand out too! I know I’ve seen other people’s wedding photos before where its sometimes its not exactly clear who the groom is since they are all dressed the same.

That tux is great! We also did navy and blush- with the groomsmen in a slightly different apparel and I think it looked great. Go for it!

Your color combo is the exact same as my wedding. Blush dresses, black tuxes, fiancé’s tux is blue, and my dress is a silvery white 🙂 It won’t look weird.

I’ve seen plenty of navy tuxes with black lapels for rental – can you have the groomsmen rent those, and just have the seersucker to differentiate the groom? You’d just have to make sure the navy is the same shade so it doesn’t look “off.”

He’s the groom, he’s supposed to stand out!
I don’t see a problem with this at all. It’s like how the bridesmaids and the bride wear different dresses in different colors.

Not weird at all. Honestly what I find weird is when all they guys are exactly the same and you can’t even tell which one is the groom. The bride is always different to the bridesmaids so the groom should be different too!
