My Fiance is wearing a Hugo boss tux and we don’t want our 2 groomsmen to spend any $$ on extra suits and we don’t like tux rentals. Currently his brother has a navy suit. I originally thought a tux with black suits will be fine… but is navy going to be too off? One advantage is that navy is one of our wedding colors. Anybody else have pictures of a groom in a tux and groomsmen in suits? Will this be ok or is the black and navy mix going to look off?

If you don’t care about things looking uniform than go ahead. I just googled mismatched groomsmen and a couple pictures popped up. Doesn’t look bad IMO.

Although it isn’t my personal preference, I don’t mind the look of mismatched groomsmen. But that only applies, IMO, when you’re sticking to the same color family (all grays, all blues, etc). I don’t think mixing black and navy would look the greatest.

Hmm, I think navy and black might look too much like you were TRYING to be uniform and someone bought the wrong color, to be totally honest. I think the mismatched look works if the colors are more distinguishable, like navy and khaki.

I think it would look pretty off unless the guy in Navy is the best man maybe? Are your girls wearing navy?

Well we definitely aren’t going for matchy-matchy, and its a small wedding so we have just 1 maid of honor, maybe another bridesmaid and 2 groomsmen. But I definitely don’t want an eyesore of a black tux and 2 navy suits. Ugh what to do!
