@TeamMcGowan: My fiance begged me not to wear a ‘red dress’ (he meant anything colored though I think) because he’s had this image of me smiling at him in a long white dress since the day he met me (aww so cute).  I was okay with that, I love color but I will save that for anniversaries!

I think your FH will be SO happy to see you at all that you could be in a bleached burlap sack and he won’t notice!

I didn’t show my gown to Fiance, but I know he hates poofy gowns. While I know he’d have probably preferred me to get a slim fitted dress, I chose an A-line. I really don’t think he’s going to care though- Like you said, once you walk down the aisle, the guy will melt!

I imagine it would be a rare situation where the groom would have a huge issue with the dress!

Darling Husband never mentioned my dress once. He did, however, tell me how beautiful I looked all day.

I knew as long as I didn’t get something way over the top (which wouldn’t be my style anyway) he wouldn’t care what it looked like, so I chose something I loved and that was that.

I looked at dresses with Fiance (though he never saw me in any), and he knows which one I bought. He’s really nosy, and I would have let him see me in the dress, but he feels traditional in that sense. So I have no worries that he’ll like the dress. Plus, I think 99.99% of grooms will just be excited to see their brides in a stunning dress on their wedding day. He probably won’t care what the actual dress looks like–they’ll just love you in it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine will love whatever I’m in!  I am not showing him pix beforehand- I’ve seen way too many posts about grooms not liking the picture of the dress and girls freaking out, hell I dont even like mine in the pic! (Why do models look so upset?!)

I cant imagine him ever saying I wish you wore x or I like x more.  Unless he has a death wish.  LOL

He’ll love mine, but I know what he likes and what he doesn’t most of the time.

My dress fits my body and is my style and those are 2 things he appriciates. So, I’m good. But if I picked a tulle poofy anything- god help him.

I showed my Fiance a ton of dress pics prior to choosing mine.  In the end, he summed up his feelings by saying he didn’t want me to pick a dress that looked like a comforter, curtains, or a tablecloth (don’t ask, I’m still not particularly clear on what he meant by this!).  Agreed that he’s *much* less detail-oriented than I am and will just say that I look great w/o mentioning specific dress details (It’s not like he’s going to say “wow, thought you were going to go with the fit and flare satin with the applique; can’t believe you went with the tulle a-line with jeweled cap sleeves!). That type of specificity doesn’t register with him ๐Ÿ™‚

I was positive my guy would love my dress…then a couple of weeks ago I started getting paranoid he might not. I did want it to be a surprise but my uneasiness got the better of me and I first showed him model shot. He didn’t really say much and my stomach kinda turned, but then I showed him a pic of me in it and he said, oh my god!! I immediately shut the laptop screen down so he only saw it for a few seconds. He actually started to tear up!!! So yeah…I’m happy that we both feel the same way ๐Ÿ™‚  We have different opinions sometimes on what looks good on each other, but I really appreciate his fashion input & he’s kinda into it so I really wanted to be on the same page.

I don’t plan to show him and it does make me nervous.  I showed him my very first dress, that didn’t make the final cut but still looked great and he said, “you like that?” with a weird look.  so enter nervous jitters.  but he’ll be happy because im happy, orr he can sleep somewhere else that night. Wink
