My groom has been looking at renting tuxes for our wedding and is trying to figure out how to distinguish him as the groom.
I’m wearing Alabaster (no idea how that will match up against a white or ivory shirt) and my girls are wearing black. Red is my accent color. We are having an evening, formal, ballroom reception.
He was intially thinking Black Tuxes for the guys, Black Shirt and a Red Vest/Euro Tie. He was going to do a Silver Vest/Tie. I don’t want him in an Off White or Cream Vest for worries that it won’t match my Alabaster dress.
What did you do to set your groom apart? Is a different Boutinerre enough?
Note: He does have a twin brother who is a groomsman, but they have a different build.

My husband wore an ivory bowtie and the rest of the boys wore black:

Maybe do black or white/ivory ties for the groomsmen and a red tie for your groom to make him stand out?

@pinkandsparkly – Love the Suspenders! I wonder if they would be up for it! LOL
@deathbydesign – I like the different tie idea!

My husband wore a white vest and white tie, with a red rose as a bout, while the guys wore black vests and red ties, with yellow roses as bouts. (Our colors were red and yellow.)

@JackiMoon: haha I didn’t give them a choice with the suspenders 🙂
