hunting_bride :  It may be more cost effective to have the guys purchase suits for the wedding. It will be something that they can wear again as well.  My Fiance adn the groomsmen will be wearing suits that will be purchased from a store, along with the shirts, suspenders, ties etc. We actually got a good deal on the ties purchasing them ourselves from a department store and will have them purchase their suits as well from the department store. My Fiance will have the groomsmen in jackets as well.  I would look at the cost of renting vs. buying to see which will be a better option for you guys.

My husband and his groomsmen each purchased their own tuxes. It cost the same as renting, and they actually got to wear something that fit them, and that they could keep. I’m sure in your case it would be cheaper since they don’t want the full suiting. 🙂 Our groomsmen went to ASOS and Express, and my groom went to Bonobos.

We’re doing what Beverly is doing – it was cheaper to buy suits from than to rent.  We just asked for the budgets of the groomsmen like we did the bridesmaids, and ended up choosing one from Simons (kind of a department store but not fancy).
