So, I’m having a bit of a problem visualizing the flowers for our bridal party. Our colors are black, white, red and silver. My dress is diamond white (between white and ivory) and my girls are wearing black. That being said, I’ve decided that I want to carry red flowers and have the BMs carry white. Great…that’s settled. BUT, what the heck do I do with the guys!! It’s only natural that the groom’s flowers match me, and the Bridesmaid or Best Man and Groomsmen match, right?? Well, my honey wants the guys to have silver vests (I vetoed red b/c I didn’t like it), so that means the guys will have silver vests with a white flower. Not sure I love that combo…I want my guy to stand out, but I’m afraid that his white vest/red flower mix will look too much like the other guys with the silver/white combo. What do you guys think? Does anyone have pics of any of these combos?? THANKS, GUYS!!!

I think you could help the white flower stand out on the silver by putting a green leaf under the flower.
But below is an example of what it could look like w/o, and i think its subtle and nice. certainly wouldnt outshine your groom!
Another idea i had, was to use both red and white flowers, kind of like the pictures below (depends on your flora) and have your grooms bigger flower in red with white accent and then the opposite for the Groomsmen.

I have an inspiration picture of the men with white flowers. They had the groom stand out by wearing a different tie color. Perhaps that’s an option?

We had red and white flowers too (mine were red and white and the BMs were white). We had the Groomsmen have white bouts and Darling Husband had a red bout.
All of our guys wore black vests (DH included – I think its so classy) but Darling Husband had a more formal tux where as the Groomsmen were in basic tuxs. That and the different flower color made him stand out.

I don’t have any pics. But I am in the same boat as you and my sister had your colors for her wedding. She had red roses- the groom and parents had a red rose. I forget what the GM’s had though! sorry.
I am having pink roses, Fiance will match me and the GM’s will have light pink roses to match the BMs (white and pink bouquet) and the readers will have white roses.

Thanks everyone! You guys definitely have some great ideas.
@BunchesDirect: LOVE your suggestions! I really like the idea of using red and white, and making his larger. Thanks for the pics!!
@PinkBubbleGum: I thought about that idea too. I’m just not quite sure how that would look with our formal tuxes. I’ll definitely have to play around with it though!
@Mrs.KMM: I actually suggested the all black look for the Groomsmen and my fiance vetoed that. Oh well, I guess he has the right to do that too! Anyways, if it was up to me…I’d totally make them rock the all black!! Good choice!! =)
@Mrs. Cooper: Great choice on colors!
I know I said I vetoed the red vest thing, but maybe I shouldn’t have dismissed it so quickly. It just seems that every wedding we’ve gone to as of late has the guys in red vests. I’ll have to decide once I see it on someone. I hope our florist (when we finally pick one!) will have some ideas too.
