So this is NOT a blatant advertisement I hope no one will take it that way.
Trying to poll who on the boards is wearing or would wear a standard tux vs. a vintage or designer suit or 3 piece suit. Ooh, just saw the poll, hope I do this right.
Also wondering about groomsmen, and if they are going trad or not, feel free to post any thoughts! I’m interested in trends in this area.

My groom is wearing a 3 piece suit, and his groomsmen are wearing 2 piece suits!

Hes wearing a 2 piece suit.

My husband and his groomsmen all wore their own black suits – it looked really good and some people already had a black suit so it saved them money!

That’s mostly why we chose to go this way, all of my FI’s groomsmen have black suits, so no one has to spend a bunch of money 🙂

My husband wore a 2 pc suit (dark brown with pin stripes) and we asked the groomsmen to wear black suits, which they all already owned or had been intending to buy. Only one person noticed/commented that they didn’t match exactly, and his comment was a positive one.

groom and all the groomsmen are wearing thier own 2-piece black suits. with the excpetion of our brothers, they were all in a wedding not so long ago where they did the same thing, so we knew they already had black suits that looked good together in pictures.

My groom and groomsmen all wore tuxedos with long ties so sliiiightly more modern but still pretty traditional.

There’s no choice for “plain suit with a nice shirt and tie”. 🙂

i would loooove for my groom to be able to wear a vintage suit but he’s a giant – 6’5″ and 300lbs. don’t suppose you carry sizes for huge wrestler body types? lol he’ll probably be wearing a tux from men’s warehouse or one of the department stores (the only places i know of that has his size) and hopefully find him a fun bow tie to liven it up.

Fiance will wear a cutaway, the rest of the groomsmen will wear tuxedos. When you say ‘traditional tuxedo’ I am assuming you don’t mean full dress, correct?
Yes, not talking full dress, just the typical off the rental rack tux with that option.
Interesting to see the 2 pc suit (non-tux) is leading the pack. Things have changed in recent years it seems.
I don’t think we have anything in size GIANT right now, just sold the only size 50 vintage 3 piece we had in a while…tough form to fit! Weightlifters often end up with custom or heavily tailored suits unless they get really lucky.

My hubby wore a white collared shirt, tan pants, and a tie. We weren’t very fancy.
