Ok… so yes I am from the south and we do plan on doing a groom’s cake. I plan on serving it at the reception. My Fiance also loves to bowl and that is what I was planning on doing for him. Have you found and designs that you like? If so, please show me! I am still looking for the perfect one! Good luck!

I just learned that groom’s cakes existed last week! I wasn’t planning on one and when I asked the Fiance he didn’t seem all that interested in the idea. As long as he gets a slice of the wedding cake, he’s good to go. 🙂

We’d like to – he’s southern, so his family will understand the tradition. We’re thinking about a Monopoly board or something to do with our college.

Well, every wedding I’ve ever been to had a groom’s cake….but I’m from Texas. It’s probably a South thing. The future hubb’s cake is totally him. It’s a square chocolate cake w/ a cheesecake on top and chocolate drizzled over all of it. It also has LOTS of strawberries all around it. He was totally into planning this part. When we met with our coordinator he had pictures with notes written on it to give to the baker. It was adorable because he was so specific and particular. 🙂
