We didn’t but that is because we don’t really like cake, so we didn’t see the need in putting money into a second cake when we don’t like sweets 🙂

I want to have one as a surprise for my groom. He’s a musician, so it’d likely be in the shape of a drum.

Also, I think we’ll feature it at the rehearsal dinner to make that evening a little more about him. 🙂

I’m having a surprise one for my Fiance at the rehearsal dinner.  It’s going to be in the shape of a Ferrari Enzo.

We didn’t, we had a small wedding so it didn’t make sense to have that and a cake. But my brother had a sports themed one, he loves cookie cake. It came out really cute!

I had never heard of a groom’s cake until coming to the Bee, nor had I seen one at a real wedding.  We’re definitely having one and I cannot wait (because it’s definitely something “new” in my area).

I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of this tradition until I came here.

At first we were going to have a groom’s cake.  FI wanted the batmobile from the Tim Burton version of the films.  We switched from doing a normal cake to cupcakes in a jar and having a small cake for us to cut.  It wouldn’t make much sense for us to have an extra cake with all of that going on.  Hmm… I could always make the cake he wanted the one we cut into though.
