- Wedding: October 2012
So, I decided to do a grooms cake for our wedding, as a surprise to my Fi. But I am going to serve it at our Rehearsal Dinner, since we will have a smaller group of people and it will be at a restaurant, so I can have them store it in the back and then they can bring it out! One thing I am having trouble with is the design. My fi is so many things and has 3 main traits things about him.
1. He is a deputy Sheriff (he has only been on for 3 years) and this job may or may not be for the rest of his career. It’s a start, but his career path could go anywhere, even outside law enforcement.
2. He is a Golfer. He has been one since he was about 10 years old, he played competitive golf as a kid, was on his college golf team and plays atleast twice a week now. He wanted to go pro, was his original plan.
3. He is a die hard Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan! His dad’s family is from Pitt and he has been steelers fan basically since birth.
So there you go. I cannot decide what will work the best. I could incorporate all 3 onto the cake, but I don’t want it to look tacky and like i just threw a bunch of logos onto the cake. I thought maybe having a golf ball in the middle with the steelers logo on the ball (instead of a titleist logo) and maybe have a sheriff’s badge hanging off the side of the cake. What do you girls think. Any ideas?
