I really want to surprise my fiance! He is a DIE HARD Cowboys fan! After cutting the “real” cake I want the DJ to play the NFL theme song and I want them to wheel out a cowboys themed cake! He has been begging for a Reese’s peanut butter flavored cake since the day he proposed so that will be the filling of course.
1) how many people did your groom’s cake feed or was it purely for show? 2) how do you decide which guests get the groom’s cake or real cake? 3) what did you pay for your groom’s cake? 4) post your pictures!! 🙂

I haven’t been married yet, but people usually get the groom’s cake about half the size of the wedding cake, as far as I know, and guests decide which cake they want 😛

When I asked Dear Fiance what he wanted for his groom’s cake, he said “Why can I just eat some of your cake?” LOL! So, we are just getting one big ol’ chocolate, raspberry, and buttercream wedding cake. Something we both like!

My wedding cake will be enough to feed everyone there, so everyone can have a piece of that. The groom’s cake will feed 35, and is just a sinlge tier cake. It will just be first come, first serve for that one.

We did the grooms cake at the rehearsal dinner. He wanted mint chocolate chip. It was about $185, a bit more than expected. His biggest loves in life are his dogs, it was a basic cake to be the dogs in a grassy field.

I’m surprising Fiance with a groom’s cake and I believe it serves 24. I had it done in the flavor he liked best. Our entire cake is the flavor I chose, but we are also doing sheet cake in both flavors so we don’t need to pick and choose who gets to have any of it. I think I paid an extra $200 for his cake. and I will hopefully post a picture in 2 weeks!
