(Closed) grooms cake. Who does this?

I think sometimes the bride will do it as a surprise for the groom. In our case, Darling Husband decided what he wanted and his parents paid.

I think traditionally its a “gift” from the bride to the groom so the brides parents. (or bride). but again, no rules.. if his parents want to do one for him, then why not? Also, you don’t “have” to do one if you don’t want to 🙂

i’m surprising my Fiance with one and neither his parents or him have no idea! should be fun Cool

Mini-rant on this one.  My Fi’s parents are getting him a groom’s cake at the rehearsal.  I think it’s a bit odd he gets his own cake Friday and then we get a joint cake on Saturday but whatevs, this is clearly his wedding to them  . . .

i’m buying mine as a surprise for my fiance.  he knows i’m getting one but has NO IDEA what the theme is or how super awesome it’s gonna be!  i can’t wait.

i was thinking of doing that just being he not a fan of cake so it would be an ice cream cake (which he like)
