it is hard to tell but i think the tux you and your Fiance both love will look great with it πŸ™‚ is it possible for you to take a swatch of your dress and the tux to compare the colours? for the white tux i mean?

@Steampunk Angel:  i think it’s a good idea to have the same colour, then you don’t have to worry about either looking dirty πŸ™‚

I found this picture of an ivory tux and white dress: i don’t think it looks bad at all.  I do however really like the style so if you’re still not keen could you find an ivory vest/waistcoat instead? eta: and go with the black

@Steampunk Angel:  I think so!  But since the seller makes the same style in black perhaps you could ask them to do it in ivory?  You could send them a swtch of the colour you want perhaps?  No harm in asking.

Honestly, I think the whole ivory and white make each other look dirty is kind of false. Yes, it is clear there is a differnce but I have seen it done in person and never once thought anything looked dirty. In fact, my freind wore and ivory dress and her groom a white button down (no jacket) and I never thought about the color differnce at the wedding one bit. If I had not talked to her about it before the wedding I would not have even realized. I also wore ivory and Darling Husband wore a black tux with a white shirt because IMO, the ivory one looked dirty.

I think the fact that your dress is satin it even makes it look lighter and his tux will be a differnt material so you will nevr get a perfect match. Would he wear a full whit tux or is he planning on dark pants? I would be more worried about the see through factor of white pants than putting white and ivory together. If there is a return policy on the white tux, order it and see how you like the two together.
