So theres that tradition that the bride and groom are suppose to exchange gifts. I am at a lost for this cause I have no idea what to get him. I want it to be something meaningful that he will have forever. all the sites i found for mens gift are like flasks or money holders or mugs and personally i think those suck! i want to get him something he will really remember that wont fade over time. Hes not a sports fan, he kinda likes music like he’s into guitars sort of. he doesnt really have any hobbies. Anyone have any suggestions?

I got my husband half a wedding! It went really well with the half wedding he gave me!

@LadyElva: That’s what my fiance and I are getting each other too!
I think the wedding process is stressful enough without having to think of the perfect gift at the same time … If anything, I think a note expressing your feelings is the best gift!

Perhaps get him a classic guitar? Or a signed guitar (but those could get really pricey!)
I think I will be getting Fiance custom cufflinks with our wedding colours and initials

I was in the same exact situation. I searched for hours, with no luck. Then I came across ‘boudoir’ photography. I found a lot of girls are having ‘sexy’ pictures taken as their wedding gift for the groom. I had my shoot about three weeks ago and mine turned out great! I don’t know if this would be your thing or not..I really am an awkward girl and not exactly the definition of ‘sexy’ haha and the photographer was great at making me look good. I used my fiance’s jersey from his favorite football team and his pool stick as a prop since I know its things he likes as well as some random lingerie. I had a lot of fun doing it and it was a confidence booster. Think about it! It’s a unique gift I’m sure he would love 🙂

ehh im a bigger girl not a fan of the boudior shoot idea. and i mentioned that to him once and he just thought it was weird. plus knowing him he would get really pissed about another person (the photographer) seeing me half naked. i had kind of a cool idea have a star named after us. i thought that would be pretty special.

@jbbs1222: I do not know how into jewellry your Fiance is but I feel like it is a timeless gift when well chosen. for my Fiance graduating with his undergrad degree I bought him a monogrammed Tiffany tie clip for this reason. other ideas I have for him in the future include a signet ring with his pharmacy coat of arms engraved on it, a heavy silver watch, and a pair of cufflinks.

I will most likely do custom cuff links and give him those the day of Or maybe a watch but his big gift will probably be his suit that I want him to wear for the wedding. My fh loves clothes and loves to look good

I would say that if he only ‘sort of’ likes guitars, I wouldn’t focus on that (unless I read it wrong?). I asked Fiance what he wanted and he suggested a watch, so I’m going vintage and getting it engraved.
Sorry for any typos, I’m on a mobile device.

- Wedding: September 2013 - Creek club at ion, SC
I wasnt even thinking about getting my guy a grooms gift but then he is in a fraternity and our wedding colours are rival fraternity colours. I know hes putting up with it to make me happy and he knows the colours mean so much to me and I appreciate so Ive bought him cufflinks and a tie pin with his fraternity on it so he doesnt feel like a sell-out. Im also going to write him a diary in the run up to the big day as we ae long distance at the moment … i wish Id started it before but I still have 3 months till I see him again

We’ve agreed to get each other some nice perfume/cologne. We went into the store together and agreed on which ones we’ll be getting for the other. That way we both like how the other will smell We can then wear it on anniversaries, ect. You know how your sense of smell is linked so strongly to memory!

My Fiance is really into fancy bourbon so I’m trying to find him a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle. It’s practically impossible to find outside of Kentucky (and he knows it) & is not cheap ($250 for the 23-year) so I know that he will flip if I can find it/surprise him. Otherwise I was thinking about something like an engraved pocket watch bc he’s not really a wristwatch guy. A bottle of Pappy would be way cooler!
@xbre2007x: I just bought a Living Social for boudoir pix – figured for not a lot of money, why the heck not? And if the pix look ridiculous then we’ll have a good laugh

I’m going to get Fiance a watch. His new obsession is wanting a rose gold watch (He says they look like copper). So will be spending the next two months looking for the manliest pink watch I can find!

I thought it would be cute to exchange gifts, as well, but I, too, had a hard time finding something because he doesn’t wear or want watches, cufflinks, tie clips, etc. I hopped on etsy and started searching (I think they have a section for groom’s gifts now). I fell in love with two things: 1) a metal keychain stamped with the coordinates of a location of your choosing (I chose the place we’re getting married), and 2) a credit card-sized piece of metal stamped with a little love note. I still need to figure out what I’m going to put on that one, but we’re huge note writers. I think I’m spending like $40 total.
