What are you getting your guys as a wedding gift???
My Fiance apparently has already ordered me something, so now I’m freaking out because I really am at a loss for what to get him…..
He’s into technology stuff, he’s into his Greek culture, he’s into dancing, he’s into history, he’s pretty religious, aaaahhhhhh, no idea!!!!
we’re going to Europe for a month on our honeymoon, so maybe something for that? Just don’t know what……he already bought himself the camera I wanted to get for him.
1. Any suggestions or advice?
2. What are you getting your guy?

We weren’t really planning to do anything but then I saw these really cute cuff links on ETSY that you can have customized with your wedding date and decided I’d get him those. I figure I can get them to him the morning of the wedding via his Best Man and he can wear them with his tux!

What about like a tour guide of some of the cities you’re going to? They sell these like counter-culture books, which go into detail about the less well-know parts of cities and talk about like the underground culture and stuff…would he be interested in that?
I’m getting my Fiance a watch. Pretty traditional/boring, lol. But I know he’ll like it, he doesn’t have a nice watch for formal occasions.

@nature_girl: Here is a link to the cuff links I got my Fiance: http://www.etsy.com/listing/49633742/paperweight-custom-keepsake-cufflinks-in
I see that your wedding is the week before mine. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get them in time but I just had a convo with the seller about it and Kari was wonderful and got them out to me really quckly. I got them on Monday and they look great!

I got my fiance a vintage travel bar/portable pub. You can find them on etsy and ebay. He saw one in a store, and has really wanted one, so that’s what I got. The one I got is leather so I’m going to try to have it personalized with his name somehow.
What about a new phone? ipod or stereo system? a kindle or ipad?
I’ve also thought about getting him a nice new Bible that will become our family Bible, but that is like getting a gift for myself too. What religion is he?

We like to do non-“stuff” gifts for anniversaries, v-day, etc. so I decided to stick to this idea. We won’t be going on our honeymoon until next summer so I decided the Monday after our Sat. wedding would be our “honeymoon” or what I’m calling “Our first married date”. I’m going to write him a card on the wedding day a mention I have a date planned. We’re getting married where we went to college so it’s still a mini-vaca. I’ll keep giving him cards starting Mon. morning: one when we wake up to direct us to his fav. breakfast place. Then go get a couples massage (there’s the “real” present) complete with an aroma soak after (can’t wait for this!!!). Last a picnic/hike at my fav. trail nearby. His family will still be in town so after this “us time” we’ll go meet them at their lake house and relax 🙂
My guy’s not a big “stuff” guy so I thought this was a great alternative, time relaxing together.

I think I’m getting him a watch, plus a small bottle of cologne. I want Fiance to wear the scent on our wedding day so I can always associate that smell with getting married. I’m leaning toward Aqua di Gio right now b/c it has such a light and fresh yet manly smell 🙂

I just bought the personalized cufflinks AND an “Our Adventures” book (like in the movie “Up”) from etsy!
That was easy! thanks, bees!

My guy is into tech stuff, so I think I am going to get him a flip camera. I know he wants one, and it will be perfect because he can have it for the wedding and the honeymoon.

We are spending so much money already on the wedding (paying for everything ourselves) that we decided not to do gifts per se. What we decided to do was for each of us to plan a day on the honeymoon with the other person in mind. So – for example my Fiance loves golf – so I’ll probably plan a golf outting followed by maybe a sailing lesson and then a nice dinner and end the night doing karoke or something like that. Hopefully – if he knows what’s good for him he’ll plan my day with breakfast in bed, a couple’s massage and a candlelight dinner on the beach… ha ha!
