Thanks vyeta7,  I will check out that website. It makes sense the Compass Company" would sell compasses 😉

I’m surprising my FH with boudoir photos presented either in a manilla envelope (i.e. blackmail style) or in a plain black-paged Kolo book with photo corners.

On January 1st, I started journaling every day on a different reason why I loved him. I’m pretty sure I’ve repeated myself a lot, and if you look through it, you can see days when I was sick when I just wrote, "I love you because you’re awesome," but I hope he’ll appreciate it. Our wedding isn’t until December, so I’ll almost have a year of journaling done by then.

My Fiance is a big comics buff and we go to a lot of comic conventions. They nearly always have working comics artists who will do commissioned sketches, so I bought a blank sketchbook and have been taking it around and asking the artists to draw their favorite comic character/s doing something weddingy. I hope he likes it.

we skipped gifts to each other, and instead picked out souvenirs that we both liked while on our honeymoon that we may not have gotten otherwise – nice christmas ornaments and bottle stoppers – we love christmas and wine, so both will be well used and well loved. and they remind us of our honeymoon and our wedding!

The journal is such a lovely idea. If you wanted a “nicer” travel journal you could always check out Smython of Bond Street.

Theirs are a little more expensive but it is a very classic brand. I think you may even be able to get his initials on the leather cover. I love the idea of the compass too, as well as a very nice piece of carry on luggage. I think a gorgeous leather duffle with his initials would be something he could use over and over again. It would probably last longer as well since you do not check it.

I’m giving my fiance a watch.
