So I see everything for the bride. What about the groom?
I’m marrying in July and my fiance needs to buy a suit. We are having an informal wedding so a tuxedo would not be appropriate.
Where could he find a suit around $200-$300?

I’m shopping for a suit with my Fiance right now. Of course you can find quite a range of prices! We are looking at Jos A Banks, Mens Warehouse, JCrew, and a few local shops.
I’m still looking for a good linen suit because like you, we’re having an informal wedding at the beginning of summer and I want him to stay cool but look nice.

if there’s one near you, jcpenney’s was having a suit sale… less than $200 i think. men’s warehouse is having a buy one, get one free deal too.

Unfortuntely, it’s hard to find a good suit in that price range. Generally speaking, most suits are designed to last years and years, which is one reason why the really good ones come at $$$$ price tags.
However, there are deals to be found. Consult eBay, online tailoring shops (though best to order now to give enough time for alterations if needed), and suit sales at department stores.

I’m not sure if they’re still on sale, but my fiance got his and his groomsmens’ suits, vest, tie and pocket square at Al’s Formal Wear for $140. (One note with Al’s, their stores are separate so you might get different quotes at different stores. Shop around!)
Our local Dillards just had a big sale and my Future Father-In-Law bought a $300 suit for $100.
I think it might just take some shopping around and looking for sales. Maybe we just got lucky, I’m not sure.

My Fi gets most of his suits from Macy’s. They have a good selection of styles, and since they have sales all the time, just be on the lookout for a sale or coupon in the paper. I KNOW my Fi has never spent more than $200 on a suit, and they always look great.

We are getting my Fiance and groomsmens suits all at Express. He just bought a different suit there (charcoal grey wool blend) for under $200. Their merch is mostly functional but fun business attire and the fit is great. Not too boxy, not too too tailored. Also, sign up for their emails and you’ll get a ton of discounts.

I second Express, my Fiance purchases all his slim fit french cuff dress shirts there and he loves them. I also found his tie and socks for the wedding there.
If you were in LA I could recommend great places to get a last season Armani at a great price. In fact, for my FI’s wedding suit I think we’re going to be purchasing a last season D&G skinny suit. So if you plan on being in LA soon, PM me for details.
As far as shopping online goes, I would be wary. Its such an expensive purchase, I wouldn’t make it lightly. A poorly cut suit will really put a damper on things! Just remember a cheaper suit might require more tailoring for it to fit properly and that cost adds up!
