Fiance, Best Man, Groomsman and both our fathers are hiring their suits and we got a great deal from our local suit shop!
1 week hire and consists of tailcoat jacket, trousers, waistcoat, shirt, neckwear, handkerchief and cufflinks. They were supposed to be £95 each which I think is about $135-140 but we got it in a promo weekend so got 10% off each suit!

Mine is renting from Moss Bros. It’s £124 for jacket, pants, waistcoat, shirt, cravat & pocket thing (whatever it’s called).

Fiance is getting a custom tux made from Balani for about $1200 including a shirt.
Groomsmen are renting grey tuxes from Men’s Warehouse for $210 including shoes, 2 shirts, actual tux, and some extras.

Darling Husband already had black dress pants and the dress shoes that he wanted to wear, we got him a burgandy velvet jacket specifically for the wedding that was about $150. Originally, he was supposed to buy a white button up shirt for the wedding but put it off until the last minute and ended up not having time to get it. He used a shirt he had already but it didn’t have cufflink holes so we wasted $70.00 and countless months searching for the perfect pair of cufflinks >.<

My husband wore a tux so he rented it. Had he planned to wear a suit he probably would have bought it.

We got my FH’s suit at Macy’s (Tommy Hilfiger). $260 for jacket, pants and vest

Fiance is renting a tux because the one that the shop had fit him like a glove (he is super tiny and likes his clothing tight). It is 299.00 to rent, he isn’t renting the shoes or shirt so it will be a bit cheaper.
It’s a bridal/tux shop in my hometown so it’s nothing global.

My husband, who had never owned a nice suit before, bought a custom-made suit for $1100. It looks amazing.
My dress was $99. Ha.

Mine is Scottish, he already has his own family tartan kilt with black waistcoat, jacket, a sporran and all the other stuff. However he bought the standard jacket etc when he got all this 9 years ago for the first wedding we attended. So he’s getting a new kilt, a different variation of the tartan and custom fit waitcoat, jacket etc in a dark grey tweed. It’ll be about £1000

Fiance hasn’t got his outfit yet, but we’re planning on purchasing it. He wants to wear pants and a vest, no jacket – but we might end up buying him the full suit anyway (it will depend on the price, although he could do with another suit). I’m guessing his whole outfit will be a few hundred dollars.

We will likely be renting since we aren’t doing anything out of the norm. FH has never even worn a suit before, so when will he in the future 🙂

I would have liked him to have bought a beautiful evening suit but he went with the groomsmen to rent theirs and ended up renting too. He wears suits all the time so I trust his judgement (kind of…)
