Can you pick out the rentals first, and then go pick out the suit for Fi that your parents are going to buy? That way, you know they will match. It’s harder to go the other way around. You can then buy the same tie and vest which is less costly than trying to get the Bridesmaid or Best Man and GM’s to buy the same suit.

For us, my mom still bought Mr. snowpea a suit (which he wore another time) and he got a free rental at the tux shop when the GM’s rented theirs which he wore to the wedding.

My parents are also buying a suit for my fiance to wear at the wedding, so we’re in a similar situation.  Our plan at the moment is to ask them to all wear suits in the same color (black or dark grey, TBD), and we are giving them matching ties as gifts to wear at the wedding.

Not as uniform as tuxes ordered from the same store, but since my fiance is wearing a suit, it seems weird to not have the groomsmen in suits, too.

You could purchase the suit from the same place that rents suits.  Chances are if you can rent it, you can purchase it and vice versa.
