(Closed) Groomsman dropped out, now what?

I know you said he’s against having odd numbers, but if he can be convinced otherwise, I’d say leave it at 5 guys/ 6 girls.  I’d just have one of the girls dance with her husband during your first dance.  It’s becoming more and more common to have odd numbers, and I don’t think it’s something you should force.  Your wedding party should consist of the people closest to you.  We’re having 3 girls and 2 guys.  Perfectly fine.

I asked a bridesmaid to step down and had uneven numbers (3 girls, 4 guys). Having an uneven number isn’t a big deal and I liked that option better than asking someone else to be a bridesmaid that I wasn’t as close with…it all worked out and nobody said anything. I wouldn’t worry about it.
