I know this thread is kind of old…

But I am wondering if any of the ladies that said they would be having mis-matched GMs had pictures of how it turned out???

I would love to see!!!

I’ve posted this before, but our guys all wore their own black suits.  None of them matched and you really couldn’t tell at all!  Some were 2 button, some were 3.  And they all wore different ties.  We were anti-match!

My Fiance has a really nice charcoal gray suit that I’m in love with.  It’s got a vintage-but-modern look to it.  We thought it would be hard to match the gmen to him, so they’re all going to wear black suits.  Everyone saves money, and we’ll tie them all together with matching ties/boutinneres.  I think if the black suits are similar enough, it should look fine.  And I like the gray with black thing because it helps him to stand out a bit.  After all, it’s his day too…well, sort of 😉

missomally, thank you for posting those pics, you’re absolutely right, you can’t tell the difference. WHEW. Of course, my current problem is that NONE of the groomsmen (or his dad or him or my brother) have black suits! However, I’m feeling much better now about telling them to just get something where they live.

We are having a really small but semi formal wedding…our 3 sisters are the BMs and they’ll wear the same peach dress.

As for the guys its just groom and his brother as the best man….I wanted them to wear gray but neither of them have gray suits and I don’t want to spend more money than necessary.  Since there are only two of them, I need them to look cohesive but don’t care if the look exactly the same…suggestions or pics?  Thanks!

YES!! lol everything in my bridal party was non matching but yet it fit. The tall dude was actually my bridesman wearing a charcoal suit and the shorter one was the best man and wearing black. in this pic both guys are standing next to the lady they were supposed to go down the isle with so all I asked of them was to match their suits to their dresses. The bridesman already had a suit(I offered to pay half for a rental if he didn’t) and the best man found his at a second hand store for $25. DH work a light beige suit(his summer suit) and I’m actually glad we did that instead of renting one because I think it made him stand out as being the groom.

Suits..lol If you are having a small Wedding thats fine. If there are 100 plus, whats to seperate guests from Groomsmen..Your wedding is a special day. Suits you wear to other peoples wedding or funerals. The Bride spends alot of $$ on her Dress. Don’t down play it with a suit. Have some class.
