My wedding dress is Maggie Sottero – Ascher in ivory over pearl rose and I am having trouble figuring out what colour shirt my future hubby and groomsmen should wear. Below are two pictures of the dress.
The underlay in my dress looks different in different lighting and has sort of a champagne or subtle pink colour to it (depending where it’s photographed). The guys are wearing black tuxes with black ties, I just can’t decide on the shirt.
Would love to hear opinions for ivory or white shirts or to hear from anyone in a similar situation Thanks 🙂

Definitely white shirts with a tux. Your dress will NOT look dirty next to him in his tux, especially with the pearl rose underlay. It will be beautiful together.

FutureMrsPaton: The men should wear white shirts. It’s the proper thing with a tuxedo. Colored shirts are only worn by those in the entertainment industry.
The men’s white shirt will not make your dress look dingy. That is a myth perpetuated by salespeople at Men’s Wearhouse.

You’ll never get a tuxedo shirt to perfectly match the color of your gown. My daughter wore ivory, so had it in mind to have the men wear ivory shirts. She compared them with white, at Men’s Wharehouse, and thought the ivory shirt looked dingy, so they chose white. Unless the men have their jackets off, so little of the shirt shows, anyway.
