Yes, you stated the criteria you wanted, and that suit doesn't match that exactly : (1 votes)

No, it's probably not going to make a difference, esp. if you said they are hard to see. : (23 votes)

I think the suit is fine and no one will notice.  No one will be staring hard at your groomsmen – they will be looking at you and your SO.  If it were me, I would not make him change the suit.

First of all, nobody will notice. Second of all, if they do notice, they won’t care. I say let him use his suit. If you’re really worried you could ask to take a picture of it and see if you can tell in the picture.

I think that by the time you see all of the groomsmen’s different versions of a charcoal gray suit, you’ll notice that most — if not all — of them will be slightly different. Some will likely be lighter or darker than others. One of the other guys may also have a faint stripe in his as well.  I think that, overall, they will appear to be a cohesive unit — all of the guys in charcoal gray suits — but separately, each suit likely will be a much-less-noticeable twist on the concept of a bride allowing her bridesmaids to each select a dress in a certain color. If every other guy in the wedding party had purchased the exact same suit (same designer, style and gray color), then this gentleman’s suit may be more distracting.  However, since the others are not buying the exact same suit, you likely will be fine.

Ask if it’s returnable… if not, yeah, you can’t really make him pay for two, but I voted yes have him get a different one… I’m too OCD for that, it would bother me just knowing, even if it didn’t show up.

@MrsDrRose612:  I think it will end up looking better in the long run to not have everyone matchy-matchy Smile

I think you’ll be fine. Hugs for the drama, though. We went through hell and back trying to find suits for the women on FI’s side that matched the suits for the men. There are SOOO many shades of gray!

I think it’s perfectly fine… If the Groomsmen are having different suits anyways, then I don’t think anyone will think anything of his suit having the stripes (if they even notice)…. I don’t think it’s a big deal at all! Breathe 🙂
