So I’ve got my dress for a informal daytime wedding, its a informal silhouette in a diamond white satin, so a more formal fabric. But now I’ve got a problem in finding a suit that will make my Fiance happy. He doesn’t want to wear black or gray and especially not khaki; in fact he really wants to wear chocolate brown. But where do I find a chocolate brown suit?
Thanks for any help!

Hi Erin! Check out Jos A Bank. Our groomsmen (and the groom) will be wearing a tan poplin suit that we got for only $149 because we had everyone get them from the same location (and they all live in 3 diff states – you can do it by phone). They have tons of suits, and they are good quality. I didn’t notice any chocolate on first glance…maybe your man will be okay with a tan suit (not khaki). Here’s the suit that my guys are wearing. And the second pic is the suit/tie combo (except we’re doing white shirts).

The problem with Chocolate Brown is that, in general, it’s a fall color and stocked moreso in the fall than any other time of year. That is not to say it’s impossible to find, it isn’t, but it does make it challenging, especially if you’re on a small budget for it. Some suggestions:
You can check the usual department stores, but dollars to doughnuts I’m willing to bet you won’t find many, if at all, in brown during this time of year.
So where to go? Try looking at eBay. If you don’t know his size, and he doesn’t, usually the department stores can measure you and tell you the size he needs. Then you know the size, and can check eBay for those sizes in brown, etc. Usually the only problem with this is that sometimes the bundled trousers are the wrong size, so watch out for this.
Alternatively, there are a plethora of online tailoring shops that, with provided measurements, can make a custom suit (usually tailored and shipped from overseas). if you can find one of these firms with the right color from their fabric swatches, that might be an option. I’ve had mixed experiences with this though, and it can be hard to get the suit altered if the it doesn’t quite fit right.

Men’s Warehouse has some, I just saw them yesterday!

Men’s Wearhouse has a bunch that are really handsome. I think they have a sale right now that if you buy one suit you get a second one free!

Hey thanks! Both for the suggestion about Jos.A Bank (had totally forgotten about them) and about Men’s Wearhouse. We had a bad experience there before (Non-wedding) so we’ll only go back if push comes to shove. But the wedding is in September so good to know there will be more options at that time.
Really appreciate it!!

I see recommendations for Men’s Wearhouse. I wouldn’t be caught dead in anything sold by the Men’s Warehouse (overpriced garbage if you ask me, and I would know being a male).

Ha, I’ve not been to Men’s Warehouse, but I had a good experience at Jos A Banks last weekend. They have so much stuff and a thick catalogue with fabric swatches if you can’t find what you want on the rack. Fiance, of course, like the first gray suit he saw but spent and hour looking at shirt and tie combinations.
