Bees: We have a good problem but still a problem that we don’t know how to solve.
The admin at my work, on behalf of my department, sent us a wedding present. The card on the gift is the name of my department. The gift is purchased using the department’s “gift fund” (budgeted for employees with huge life-changin events, such as getting marry, having baby, etc).
Whom should we address on the thank you card?

I’d say address it to the department and give it to the admin. Ususally they display it on their desk for a little so that people can see it.

on mine i said “XX Family” where XX was my directorate’s name. so if you work in say, finance it could be “Finance Family” or “Finance Friends”.
ETA, for actual addressing i sent it to my lead’s house and inside the card addressed it to everyone but a lot of the time people just put the card on the gift representative’s desk, addressed to everyone and that person sends out an email and people just come by

Send the note to the department but hand to admin!
