Anyone start growing your hair out when you got engaged? Do you have before and after photos? Wondering how long it will take to get my hair super long…. right now it’s shaulder length….but it grows super slow.

Hello! I’m not engaged yet, but did recently grow my hair very long. The first pic is from Dec. ’08, and the second is from this past New Years Eve (2010). So it took two years to get here, with two trims per year (about 2 inches each time for split ends). I heard vitamin B is supposed to be good for hair growth. Good luck!

Okay I started growing it right before or right after I got engaged and I still have three months to go. But here’s the progress.
Before

After- excuse the no makeup lol.

@OoOTifsterOoO: wow your hair is gorgeous!
Got engaged in September 2009 but got a botched hair cut in October ( 10 months before our wedding)

This is how long it was out our wedding (shorter in the back though)

Here I am right before we got engaged (excuse the total lack of makeup)… although I got this haircut again in December 2009 because I was still not sure what I wanted to do with my hair:
And in October 2010 (10 months later):

it grew about another 3 inches before this February (14 months total) but I don’t have any photos with it down because I can’t stand it! lol. Can’t wait for my post wedding chop!

January 2010

Feb 2011.
I lost all of my hair from Chemo and it started growing back in Sept of 2009, but it came back so curley so it seemed to take so long to grow.

I cut my hair in the spring of 2009 and have been growing it out ever since.
Before – spring 2009

Now – 2011

I just bought some clip-in exensions – still trying to decide if I’ll wear them for the big day.

My hair is all real/no extensions, almost waist length & full. I’m bad because I trim it myself & run a Loreal box color almost monthly to hide stray greys. I take a prenatal vitamin (not preggers, but need vitamins & my doc said taking it in advance is excellent for brain development in babies they find). My hair & nails (nails usually break all my life) are growing markedly more & stronger within weeks! I was shocked!
Never found this with anything else but this stuff is great: Prefera OB + DHA. It comes in two pills to take at the same time per day. Highly recommend if you are still trying to grow it out!
