Ugh…It really is a good thing we can block these people’s posts and not have to see what they write! I have a few of these where it would cause more drama to unfriend them than it would to just block their posts.

FB really makes to you get know a person better, doesn’t it?  It finds the true quirks of a person.  I try to not pay much attention to it, and I do block some peoples status posts to only keep MYSELF out of trouble.

Yea, the last time I saw someone post one of those “I am quitting facebook because people are mean to me” type of posts was by a slightly mentally retarded highschool student… seeing grown women do that crap just makes me sad.

FB brings out the worst in people. Like my FBIL’s baby mama. (Long story about why I had to be FB friends with her)

She lied on FB a lot, mainly about her life with her new husband. Then later she would post things that were true, but should have been kept private. She was kind of bi-polar on FB; “our life is awesome/we’re so broke, life sucks”. She made it seem like she was always out with friends, doing something fun…living the life. But then Future Brother-In-Law says things like “She’s glad you live closer now..she never gets to hang out with anyone..she just works and takes care of kids.”

She posted pictures of “notes” that her hubby would leave her, but they were in HER handwriting. She’d buy herself flowers, (I actually saw her buy flowers on two occassions) then post pics on FB saying how her hubby suprised her with them for “no reason!!” About 3 months ago she said “I’m deleting my FB, message me your numbers”. All of her friends were all “Dont leave!!1!”. She ate up all that attention.

Turns out her husband found out about the lies, and the factual information she posted that should have been kept private. She told him she deleted it in back March, but her account just randomly disappeared two weeks ago. She was going to secretly keep it but they’ve had some drama and money issues and she wants to keep up the appearance.

I like FB because it enables me to keep up with family who live far away and how their babies are doing…but this shit….man. It’s crazy to see grown women do things like this. And most of it was just to make her husbands ex-wife “jealous”. LOL

I know what you mean. I don’t remember half as much immature nonsense when facebook was students only and it was 100% college and high school kids!

Sadly it is usually “grown” people who posts things like that. I really regret adding some people as my friends on FB, but I can’t delete them because they are family. It will be so much drama if i deleted them.

People think that just because they are on the internet it isn’t “real” and therefore their behavour can be excused. People are just crazy bitches sometimes.

Yeah. If I had a nickel for every “Guess it’s true you never really know who your true friends are…” post I’d be rich.

@futuremrshc: Some of them. I try to avoid them as much as I can, and I don’t hold convos with them on FB. Things got out of hand once because they posted a status aboutv me (without mentioning my name). I tried to call them to handle it like adults should and they didn’t want to talk to me. They have apologized (over the phone), but I no longer contact them at all. They do try to talk via facebook, but I am usually vauge or don’t respond.

Sounds like my stepmom. And my stepsister. And my brother. And about half a dozen other family members. It was a great day when I realized I could block their posts. Sad part, they are all like that IRL.
