Hi Bees after regretting one dress I went out and brought another but I now keep looking at myself in the sample and I am not sure it is the right dress for me, I want something beautiful and expensive looking but also something that shows off my figure to its best but also I feel like a bride in, maybe I expect to much perfection! I would really appreciate your honest opinions of this dress, thank you in advance.

I think it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! It gives you a very regal and elegant shape. Soft and feminine. The detail is gorgeous and hugs you just right in all the right places!

It’s pretty but I don’t feel that it has the wow factor. Sorry.

You look stunning!!!!!!!! I think it does everything you’ve mentioned.
If you’re feeling unsure, get totally dolled up, hair and make up and go try it on. If you’re not feeling it, you’ll know.

Honestly, I prefer the Maggie Soterro Adeline on you. I think that one looks fantastic on you!!!
ETA: You look beautiful in this one too. I just prefer the other one on you.

I think it’s lovely on you, but I am just not a fan of satin or shiny material like that. You pick what you feel the most beautiful in!!

@balletbride: I think it looks lovely on you but I went back to see what your other dress was and I must say I love your first Maggie dress much more!

I went back to look at your first one and honestly I think your original dress looks quite similar to this one. That’s not a bad thing though – they both flatter you! This is obviously a style of dress that appeals to you, so I would say just pick whichever one you like the most and don’t worry what anyone else thinks. Satin dresses are elegant and classic, so you WILL look beautiful!

@balletbride: Looking back, I honestly prefer your original dress. It showed off your curves, and the fabric photographed beautifully. Also, I adore the beading on the bust. The swept ruching elongated you, and accentuated how lovely your figure is.
As for this one, I don’t like the embroidery on the bodice (too busy and 1980s-ish), and I don’t like that it stops right at the top of your hips. Basque waists are hard to pull off, and this one isn’t working. The horizontal line chops up your body unflatteringly. Plus the shiny skirt fabric is not photographing well at all.

I think both dresses are beutiful and quite similar. Basically you need to just put a check mark the box on the wedding to do list and move on.

@MlleFabuleux: All of this!
@balletbride: I went back and looked at the photos of you in your old dress, and I honestly prefer it. The cut is more flattering on you. The second dress fits you kind of strangely, the bust is coming up way too high. If you decide to go with it, I would try and alter the sweetheart to come down a little lower.

I love the 1st one more. I think this new one takes away from your figure, too busy all over…. But go with your gut!

What was the first dress?

I absolutely love that dress ! It looks great on you, the bodice is exquisite and shows off your figure! I dont think you need to have dress regret at all !! 🙂

Ok, I’m going to be blunt. Don’t take this the wrong way because both dresses you have look good on your figure. However, while your new dress is pretty, I don’t think it necessarily looks expensive or flatters you the best. Your prior Maggie Sottero dress seemed to do better in both aspects. What about the Maggie didn’t you like? Maybe you haven’t found “the” dress yet. But I would vote for your first dress over this one.
