How long did it take for you to get your floral quoates back? I met wit the girl last Saturday, she said I would have a quote by Wednesday, it is now Friday and still nothing, I didn;t get a good feeling about her in the first place so im just annoyed lol I don;t want to be a bridezilla but if you cant get it by Wednesday at least send me an email saying there will be a delay I would be totally fine with that

Our floral quote came back within a couple of days.
Quite honestly, when it comes to vendors, your gut reaction is usually right. If you think it’s frustrating waiting for them to get back to you now, just imagine the stress when it’s days before your wedding and you can’t get hold of them. If you already have a bad feeling about this woman and she’s a bad communicator, it might be in your best interests to take your business elsewhere.

We got one quote within four days and the other quote about a week after the meeting.
While I do agree with the PP input on vendors you need to understand that wedding season is in full swing. The second florist had two weddings the weekend after we met which backed her up a bit.

We got our quote at our meeting. We met 3 florists and all quoted on the spot.

Mine came back quickly however, my trial was a disaster (such a disaster I didn’t get one).
She booked me in, and then 2 days before to confirm she says, she can’t… gee thanks… when were you gonna tell me!!! Then she promises by month end she’ll make time. Ok great, it’s been 3 months since that “month” and since then I’ve simply booked another florist. I’m not going to waste my time when other vendors want my business. I went elsewhere.
I’m SOOO for going with your gut. If you’re unhappy with her communication NOW, what happens after you pay her?

Exactly! I dont mind waiting AT ALL if she had of said it will take two weeks, ok fine no big deal, but to say Wednesday and then just dont write me at all is what bothers me, especially since I didnt feel she knew what she was talking about, I had to tell her what the rhinestone banding was called (was at the bridal show with the owner, I wish she had been available for my consultation, I asked how much it cost she had no clue what I was talking about), I showed her pictures of lilac hydrangeas, she told me they didnt exist, not that they had to be dyed, they didnt exist (because apparently I painted the picture lol) etc so I dont really have faith in her, on to the next!

When a vendor does not do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it…….RUN!!! Take your hard-earned money elsewhere. 🙂

arg! I feel your pain! Definetly would just move on.
The florist I thought we were going to work with seems to be a total flake. She told me she’d get back to me with the proposal and price within a week, and nothing. She also asked me to send her additional reference and I have this ongoing email chain with her but still no price! This is after her being iffy about being able to work in my budget, and saying that my color is difficult to work with. Last message was sent 7days ago and she asked me when she could have the vase I plan on using so she knows the dimensions (we’re going to cut these really nice looking gin bottles to use as vases)
I get stressed, decide to try on a different florist. He is PERFECT, makes my choices seem logical, budget = no problem. Leave meeting dumstruck that it was such a great experience. He even had a recommendation for where we can get our glass cut and thinks its an awesome idea. Goodluck on your search and don’t sweat it, it will work out 🙂
