We are getting married at westridge country club… so far they have been soo helpful and are really working with our tight budget…. they also had great reviews

We got married at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana.  We had planned for an outdoor wedding but it rained on our wedding day so we had our ceremony moved to the second floor on the balcony.  Everything still turned out great.  A+

We had our reception at Paracel Seafood Restaurant.  A+

@meliss: WOW your wedding was STUNNING! I’d love to hear more about how you made it affordable! My budget is about $25K… think I could have such a gorgeous wedding as yours still at this amazing venue? :X

We’re getting married in a sunset ceremony aboard the Electra Cruises yacht “Eternity” sailing through Newport Harbor on September 21, 2012! So far our colors are Navy Blue & White with the jury still out on accent color… yellow? red? nude? :S

Hopefully Electra is good~ the food gets great reviews and the only problem I hear of is brides saying it all went too quick! ;]

We are booked for the Montage in Laguna Beach.  Ceremony on the Pacific Lawn and brunch reception on the Ocean Lawn.  So excited!!  Any other Montage brides out there?  I would love to discuss layout.

@KimmySumShuga: My sister got married there. The only issue was that the dining area was a little small, some of the bridal party (myself included) ended up eating at the bar because the tables were so pushed together we couldn’t get to the seats in the back after we came back from pictures (people took our reserved table). Other than that, food was good and it was really pretty.

@redhead46: ooo thanks for the insight! Do you know how many people were at your sister’s wedding? we’ll only have around 125 (the minimum for the yacht lol) but I just LOVED this yacht above the other choices so we had to have it!

I saw the tables all smooshed together when I was viewing it one weekend and yes it looked too tight so I hope with us having fewer tables, we’ll be able to be a little more comfortable!

Did you guys decorate the top deck much? I really want it to be beautiful and feel special but I don’t want to block out the view so I’d love to see some inspiration photos if your sis doesn’t mind!

Also did you think it was enough time? I’m getting a little worried about the fact that its only 4 hours but I think I’d rather have people saying “Awe I wish it was longer” than “oh man, when will it end?!” We’d also want to have an after party anyway so I’m getting more comfortable with the fact that the older folks can be put to bed while us younger ones can continue the celebration elsewhere ;D
we’ll see them at the wedding brunch the next morning anyway :]

@KimmySumShuga:  I really don’t remember how many people but I’m going to say about 150 or so.  She really went minimal with decorations because the view is just so pretty.  She had bright flowers but not a ton of them, just to add some color here and there.  Sorry I don’t have any picture of the decor really.  She paid for an extra hour and it seemed like a good amount of time, not rushed or anything, but she didn’t have an after party, we all just got fast food and went back to the hotel.  After the sunset, the view was definitely enough decoration, it was gorgeous.

We’re getting married at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, CA!
