My sister got her dress at Amandalinas and had a great experience. They actually gave her a lower price on her dress than the store in Burlington where she initially saw the dress. Can’t speak for all the staff but my sister dealt with Maria (older Italian lady who is sometimes on Say Yes to The Dress) and she is fantastic. Super friendly and knows her shit. She did the alterations on my sisters dress and it turned out perfect.

LondonAutumn:  I had an awful experience at Amandalina’s and so did many of my friends. One girl had her dress cut too short in front of her by the alterations department and they tried to blame her! When I went they didn’t respect my budget at all, and the one dress I went to see (they were the only one who carried it and I had called and emailed them multiple times before to make sure they had the sample still in stock). The woman who served me kept pushing off the dress I had come to see and was like oh yeah I’ll go check and kept coming back with different dresses. She then blamed me and said I had taken to much time, and then I asked her again about this dress and she said it had been sold (even though I was told on the phone many times it was there, and I was driving from Brantford to see it). The only dress I even remotely like was one I pulled myself. I WOULD SUGGEST GOING ANYWHERE ELSE AMANDALINA;S IS THE FREAKING WORST!

LondonAutumn:  Yeah that happened to my friend too, but most other stores can order the dress for you, I would suggest going to try it on at Amadalina’s but don’t buy it from there, most stores carry Maggie Sottero, so I would just buy elsewhere. My friend tried her dress at Amandalina’s and bought it from Sophies.

If you are looking for Maggie Sottero, and don’t mind a little drive, there is the cutest little Bridal Shop in Collingwood.

The lady there will order in any dresses that you want – i think there may be a deposit involved- and she is so lovely. She used to work for a big designer in Yorkville (we got to chatting) and then opened her own shop in Collingwood.

I would try it on, and if it is the one, buy from her. She is awesome. She can’t get in the brand I want, but I would highly recommend her.

Good luck.

I didnt have the best experience there either, definitly pushed me to buy quick ..You have your dress picked out which is great but they also cut the tags out of all dresses you try on so if you did want to try something else on and fell in love, you wouldnt know the name of it until you bought it and paid for it..

One dress I fell in love with, I wanted to take a picture for my mom who was in the hospital but they wouldnt let me. I wanted to show my mom the dress online but they wouldnt tell me the name.

So eventually found the name and i phoned around and Best for bride said they could sell me the dress for more than $600 less than what i was paying plus $150 less for corsage back changing from button down…

I dont like the pushiness, the deception and hidingness of the the dresses…that put me off right away
