My wedding is at the Berkeley Field House on Sept 29th.

While it does have a tent outside, unfortunately it isn’t waterproof and there are tiny holes in it that could leak rain… which doesn’t matter anyway since it’s going to be a gorgeous day on Sept 29th 😉

But when I booked I was totally under the impression that it was a space that would be safe if it rains (we’re having the ceremony for 140 under the tent, so this is an important detail!).

I didn’t do much research before jumping on this venue since there was only 1 possible date available and we wanted to get married in the fall… I hope I made the right choice!

In the last 4 years, my sisters got married at Casa Loma and the Old Mill, both were beautiful and had great experiences.

couawilou:  Do you mind sharing where you chose to go instead? I am thinking about Black Creek as well, and am just waiting to hear back from them in terms of budget (as ours is very limited). Thank you 🙂

We are considering Geraldo’s at Lasalle Park in Burlington. It’s around $110-145 on a peak season Saturday depending on the package you choose plus $900 for ceremony I believe. That includes gratuities though so you only pay HST. It seems to be highly rated and so far I’ve been impressed with how promptly they’ve responded to all my inquiries.

peegee:  Have you looked at The David Springer Estate? They are in the same price range maybe a little less, and they service only 1 event per day, completely private. It’s a rustic indoor/outdoor type venue.
