Hi Bees! I am looking (briefly) at ceremony locations near my home town. My Fiance and I are on a budget, and we really dont want to spend too much on a ceremony venue, especially if we could use our church for almost nothing. I found this church in Tallmadge, Ohio, and I am in love with it. I cant find anything about costs, and I wouldnt be able to visit it for a few months. I am wondering if you guys could provide some insight to how much something like this would cost. We plan on emailing the woman in charge, but not this far off. Thanks!
It is run by a historical society, and church services are not held in it (aka no pastor or anything)
It seats around 200 on 2 levels, but we will probably only have 75-90 guests.
It is in the center of a traffic circle
I thought a lot of weddings were held there, but there is not too many reviews on anything online.

one of the original venues we looked at was quite similar and held less people but I believe the charge was $200 to rent for a few hours. It was a small historic church in Maryland.

It totally depends where you live. I’m in Canada and my church was $900 with he use of their choir and organ. But it’s so relative to where you’re from. If they have a website they may habe the price listed. Ours did. The price was a flat price regardless how many people we had.
I’ll add my church was huge, and one of the nicest ones in the city.

Thank you! There is a website, but no prices are listed. It is in a smaller suburb, not like a big city or anything.

Make sure you ask about any additional costs when you speak with them. Is there a charge to use the bathrooms in the building next door? Are you required to hire a traffic officer for parking? etc

we rented a historic church with no church services, aka just weddings. It was smaller (one level) and held around 160 comfortably and we paid $1200 on a Sunday. On Saturdays it was $1800. I think you should just email, tell them you’re not able to tour for awhile, but wanted to know prices. Can’t hurt and most places book a year or more in advance so unless you’re over 2 years out it can’t hurt to put feelers out.
