Well, of course he got me a present! He always gets me a present. This year it was a beautiful pair of sky blue topaz earrings. They matche the bracelet he got me for my birthday the first year we were together, and I love them!
But he also did something for me that I’ve been wanting him to do since I moved in with him two years ago. He moved the refrigerator to the otherside of the room! Now the kitchen no longer feels cramped. It feels huge!
I had asked him a couple days ago why he didn’t want to move it, when it was something I really wanted. He said he didn’t see how it was going to gain us any space, so I explained it to him, and he finally agreed to move it. I didn’t waste any time getting him to get the parts need to hook up the water to fridge on the other side of the room. So he worked on it all day today, and it looks great!
When it was finished, he looked at me and said, “I told you moving the refrigerator would make the kitchen look bigger. Why didn’t you let me move it a long time ago like I wanted to?” LOL! Leave it to him to try to take credit for the idea!!! I don’t care though, because my kitchen is finally the way I want it!!!!!!

Aww topaz is so pretty! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
It’s so funny how man tasks can be so much more rewarding than gifts sometimes. Fiance cleared out our cluttered pantry and reorganized the kitchen for me a couple months ago. He may as well have gotten me a new kitchen, it made such a difference!
Love that you let him think it was his idea, that’s my #1 trick of getting Fiance to do things for me.
So cute. Enjoy cooking without a fridge looming over your shoulder 🙂

haha! Men! I looooove how you have to convince them to do something, then they finally see the light and pull something like that. It’s so cute. Happy Birthday! How about some lovely jewlery pictures! =)

Thank you for the birthday wishes!!!!
I know it’s hilarious how they try to take credit for everything!!! I know it might bother some people, but I’m good with it as long as I’m getting what I wanted!
I’ll never tell him, but truthfully, what he did in the kitchen makes me happier than the earrings! Oh! Don’t get me wrong, I love the earrings and will always, always, always treasure them. I don’t know how to explain it, but the fact that he did something that makes my life easier and makes the kitchen feel more like my kitchen just because he loves me…it means the world to me!
Now I keep going into my kitchen looking and it in awe! I literally hated my kitchen before. It was awkward, cramped and inefficient. Now it feels bight and airy. I’ve cooked a meal in it and have done the dishes, and I was AMAZED at how much more efficient it is!!! Everything is so much more convenient.
But I guess what is really important is the Darling Husband is happy with the change too!

I haven’t taken any pictures of my new earrings yet. I haven’t taken them off since he gave them to me this morning before breakfast. But I should be able to take some pics tomorrow of them when I can take them outside in the sunshine.
