So not only am I not pregnant this month, but AF showed up two days early. I’m only on month three, but geez I dunno how long I can take this! Mad props to those of you who have been riding this train a while.
What do YOU do when AF shows?

It took me 9 months to get PG with #3…the answer to the question is wine:)

Me either 🙁 Darling Husband and I were married June last year and a June babe would have been so lovely. Everything crossed for a possible July babe.
Ice cream sandwiches and wine! Not together, mind you…. 🙂

@StaceyA: I’m sorry you’re not getting a June baby either 🙁
I’m taking an extra hot bath tonight. Tomorrow i will go buy some comfort things… Wine sounds awesome. And maybe some raw cookie dough.

@missrain: Treat myself with food, alcohol and a bath 😉 hahah

@SweetChick: AF=Aunt Flow=Period, PG=Pregnant
13 total cycles to get pregnant with our take-home baby…lots of wine.

@missrain: I would put on my best dress, a full face of make-up and tell Darling Husband that we will be going out that evening. We would then go out for a meal, drink lots of wine and eat things that are unsafe for pregnant women – a bloody steak, some stilton – whatever! May as well make the most of it before you fall pregnant.
We were succesful on our 4th attempt, as soon as I stopped measuring my temps and checking my CM instead.
EDIT: sorted out the spelling – apologies – there’s ablody fly p!55!ng me off this morning.

@missrain: So sorry, it sucks… I get dressed out and have a nice meal and some cocktails 🙂

@missrain: Oh i’m sorry, what a witch! I really want a Junebug baby too, i’m not out yet but not looking good with temps 🙁
I usually have wine and other goodies such as soft cheese, soft serve ice cream, things you can’t have when you are PG! 🙂

If I were you I would have a bubble bath and a glass of wine!

Thanks ladies! This was just the icing on the cake of a terrible month. Loving all the suggestion! And thanks for the support

Yeah, I’m in the same boat 🙁 I was so hopeful this month…. I said if I got AF I’d go to hot yoga and get a mani/pedi, but I really don’t feel like doing either right now 🙁 Ugh

I’m sorry. 🙁 BFNs and AF never get easier. It’s honestly very normal for a healthy couple to take up to a year to conceive, so please don’t beat yourself up too much yet.
A little advice from someone’s who been LTTC is that it’s less disappointing (still disappointing but not as heartbreaking) if you stop setting milestones for yourself each month. I used to think, “Oh I’ll be pregnant before my husband’s birthday!” “My due date will be around my birthday!” “I’ll be pg before our next anniversary!” “I’ll be pg by Christmas!” “I’ll be pg by our 2nd anniversary!” It’s devastating to “fail” that goal every month, so the less expectations you have each month, the easier it will be on yourself.
The suggestions to pamper yourself is a great one! Do whatever makes you feel better–for me it’s sometimes a little retail therapy ;), sometimes cuddling on the couch with Darling Husband, a mini weekend get-away, or something like a pedicure. Oh and I definitely recommend a bottle of wine! 😉
