I was looking for a different sort of way to do a guest book. I didn’t want the traditional name signing or the thumbprint tree, rocks, etc. I was going to do a book with little envelopes in it and the guests could sign it and put it in individual envelopes, but I thought that might get kind of annoying to have to take each one out and put it back, making sure to do it carefully and all that. So I came up with the idea that I could take little 3×5 pieces of paper in all different colors, get all kinds of different colored pens and have the guests sign whatever they want, kids can draw pictures or whatever and we’ll put the papers in the slots of a 4×6 photo album. That way it will be easy to look at, and we won’t have to take them out and guests will have more room to write a message. Does this sound like a good idea, or does it sound like it would look cheap?

@millielue: I think it sounds great! That was you can preserve lots of memories, and look at them with ease! 🙂

it sounds fun! you can also add picuters to the album 🙂
My moms friend is a bookbinder, she told us she wanted to make us a signature book. We went over to pick out the matirials, Im really excited about it but have yet to decide if we will just put pictures in it or also use it at a signiture book. I had originally thought we would do the picture frame with the signitures….now im just not sure

I am getting married in September and we aren’t gonna have a guestbook. Instead we are going to have a cloth tablecloth and a bunch of sharpies that people can sign and put whatever they want. Than every year on our anniversary we will use it at our table. Everyone I talk to says that after the wedding they put the guestbook away and never look at it again. I want a way to remember it always.

We are actually having one of our engagement pictures of us blown up and put in a special frame and a special border and people will be able to write their name and anything special they want to say on it.

@angellove2283: I highly recommend Pebeos fabric pens. Thats what we are using on our guest book quilt which is much more washer friendly.
