At weddings I always forget about the guestbook, then I remember 3/4 of the way through the night and write something that probably doesn’t make sense due to a few too many wines!
So, I have found and like this idea instead. I’d DIY something similar, with a different font- and perhaps a different topic to write about for each table (advice, messages etc)
I like it because
– I’ve never seen it at a wedding that I’ve been to (which means most of my friends haven’t either)
– Guests don’t have to leave their table to write something
– It might prompt some conversation on the tables where I’m sitting couples who don’t know each other together
What do you think?

I think that it’d a good idea, but you might want to make sure to announce it in case people don’t read their table numbers very closely.

I think it’s nice. I think you’ll get more meaningful comments than the standard ‘best wishes’. Do you expect everyone on the table to write in it together? Or maybe write separate little messages in the one card?

@graciej – I was thinking of making it with 2 insert pages so there would be enough space for a 10 person table to each write their own little message 🙂

That’s a great idea. It would get people talking because they’d have to think about where you and your husband will be in x number of years and what advice might be useful for that point of a marriage. I think it’s sweet and very personal.

It’s cute and you will have something fun for many anniversaries!

Thanks ladies! Knowing me & my impulsiveness there’s no doubt that I’ll read them all the next day! But I plan to get them binded into some kind of book for safe keeping to read in future years as well 🙂

This is a great idea! I agree with ScottishMrs, make an announcement just in case.

I would be intimidated if everyone could see what I was writing and probably would end ip not writing anything. Sorry!
