I think the butterflys are very pretty but what if someday you don’t want a bunch of butterflys on your wall? We did a fingerprint tree and love how it turned out. Sorry for the crooked picture.

Love the butterflies, here is another one I quite like: http://www.etsy.com/listing/89924276/wedding-guest-book-alternative-3d-heart?ref=sr_gallery_7&ga_search_query=heart+paper+guest+book&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=CA&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=heart+paper+guest+book This whole shop has tons of nice ones.

Personally I think a framed photo with heavy matting is a very nice, practical option and that’s what I voted for. Especially because you can throw an engagement photo in for them to sign, and then switch it out with a wedding photo after the wedding.

I really like the butterfly idea, I would suggest putting them on a board that is framed or something because if you move and have to take each one down that could be frustrating. And I would do two a different color to represent you and FH

We’re getting a set of decorate mirrors [like the ones you hang in your living room], and adding a dandelion decal, similiar to this :

except there will be 3 or 4 large ones, and our guests can side it with paint pens.

We’re also doing a guest book, and wishing tree [with wooden tags, we might make some type of wall art out of those too, not sure yet]

@kris325:  I think if the butterfly guestbook flows well with your theme, you should go for it. I think you should also factor in how time consuming making a homemade guestbook could become especially if it doesn’t turn out well. But I also think that depends on how crafty or not so crafty you are! =) I like the trees with the leaves (where you have guests write well wishes) or the tree with the fingerprints. I think it all depends on what you and Fiance want in regards to what you are going to do with the guestbook after the wedding! =) ETSY is definitely a great place to get ideas or find guestbooks. Good luck! =)
