caitlinjonne :  that’s funny, I’ve never heard that about heels vs flats for certain length dresses before! In my mind heels = more fancy and more appropriate for weddings, flats = business casual work shoes (although that is just my own opinion!)

I would definitely stick with heels. A heel will length your leg as opposed to flats.

It’s a very nice dress, but  I think a bit a casual for an evening do, especially if your are planning  to wear  flat shoes . If you do wear it , I’d  dress it  up with  black or  red heels , shoes or sandals ( small heels if you don’t like  high ) your hair up and a nice piece of jewellery or two.
