I’m currently working on our first guest list draft and thought of a fun game.
If you can remember, list the number of guests you started out with (your initial draft) and the number of guests you actually invited.
Bonus points if you can add how many actually showed up or RSVPd!

emsie : initial list was about 120, but we knew we’d have a high decline rate due to most guests being out of state. So we expected about 75. In the end, we invited about 140 and had about 90 attend.

Our initial list was about 100 but the final list ended up being 110 (we added a few people, had a few guests start dating someone and gave out a few +1s that we didn’t originally intend to). We had about 100 show up in the end (had a couple of last minute declines due to injury and a sudden death in the guest’s family).

Initial: 290 (including +1s for all single guests)
Most people didn’t take us up on the +1s unless they’d gotten into a relationship since the Save the Dates went out. There were also multiple last-minute changes with people who attended the wedding and skipped the reception to attend funerals.

Our initial number was 300.
We actually invited 350 and 305 attended.

Initial was 80, final list was 75. We had a 62 attend 🙂

When we made our first list, we already knew we wanted a smaller wedding. Our first list had about 100 people on it. We actually invited 84 and 50 attended (our 84 count included some elderly relatives we knew wouldn’t come, and some plus 1’s that did not get filled. DH also had a family emergency the week of our wedding, so about 5 people backed out last minute because of that)

- Wedding: July 2017 - Vineyard on Long Island
First list was 150, then parents added people and brought it to 180. Then more people organically got added (bridal party and cousins gained significant others, where we didnt think they’d be bringing a date), so we’ll end up inviting almost 200 >.< tbd on acceptance rate

Our initial guest list had slightly under 300 people, but when I just now went to send out the actual invitations and added up all the small children that I had somehow forgotten plus entered a realistic number of possible +1’s, we are at 409. Unfortunately I’m hoping that we have around 300 show because although our receiption hall will fit all 409, it would be a little cramped.
