(Closed) Guest List of 40….to have a dj or no dj??

I’d skip it.  I feel like a DJ in such a small party would make people feel forced to interact in ways they otherwise wouldn’t because if they sit out, you might feel bad.  Even just dancing, a few people among 40 who don’t like the song or don’t want to dance just looks pathetic, like they aren’t enjoying themselves.  If you just play music via mp3, it doesn’t seem so obligatory.  I had 36 including ourselves and just used iTunes and rented some speakers – it worked out very well.

We’re having an intimate wedding too….approx 75 guests and hired a DJ as they will MC the flow of the night, ceremony music, introductions, dances etc and will keep things moving by reading the crowd…..I’m sure enough peeps will dance and all will enjoy!! :+)
