We headed up to Santa Barbara and had dinner and drinks on the wharf. Mr. Meowerson and his guys were on their bachelor activities in LA and Vegas, so it was pretty much a ladies event. Drinks were had:
We did a winery tour and went to three different vineyards in the Santa Barbara region for wine tasting (think Sideways) and a picnic lunch. There were 20 of us, and it was perfect for the different families to get to know each other a little better. It was also a great opportunity to spend time with all the Aussie rellies that had traveled so far.
That night, we hit up the bar for some shots and shenanigans.
We had the rehearsal at the hotel and this was actually pretty stressful since the DOC was 15 minutes late and not on the ball at all. I will admit it- I lost my cool here. Mr. Meowerson sprung into action and ran the show (pretty much all weekend- such a gem). We then went to a great local Mexican restaurant for the rehearsal dinner and feasted on margaritas, dinner, and the surprise grooms cake that Mr. Meowerson’s mum and I had arranged. Yes, it was a Dodgers baseball cap. My Mother-In-Law surprised us all by giving all the guys Dodgers socks to wear the next day (family tradition of sorts), and all the ladies lovely hankies for the ceremony.
After dinner, I surprised all the girls with their gifts (Tiffany’s vases and massages right in the hotel). This was a huge hit and relaxed everybody for the next day.
